Picture it: Nashville Pride Event, June 1, 2008, Centinenial Park. It was a warm day, sun shining, and festivities everywhere. We were walking around enjoying the day and listening to the music. Teddy's Wagon was there and we had walked through browsing for our "child." Of course you want to take them all home, but you wait for that one that melts your heart. We decided to continue to enjoy the day, and were in mid-discussion about what we would need for whichever baby we decided to get. There were volunteers everywhere, and apparently "Batman" was not at Teddy's Wagon when we were there. One look into those 8 week old eyes, the one ear that was slightly bent at the tip, and we were stuck.
Today, Bane (Batman), is happy, healthly, and is loved more than a fat kid loves cake. We are planning to return to adopt a brother very soon, and find the one that melts our heart a second time. Thank you NHA for your time and dedication so people can find their furry friend!
