The Humane Society of the United States and the City of Crystal Springs rescued approximately 170 cats from an alleged neglect situation in Mississippi. As a partner and a good friend to pets in need, we received an ask for help and just couldn’t say no. Our transport team drove down to Mississippi, and then a team of dedicated shelter friends helped make the cats cozy after transport.

So, as of Thursday night, allow us to introduce you to 30 of NHA’s newest feline residents! ????

Now, here’s where you come in. All of these cats have been undergoing medical intakes, and all appear to be in various stages of “pretty rough shape.” But that’s okay; our amazing Vet Team is on the case, and they’ll be doing a full look-through on each little one. Then our Animal Care Team will take over helping these feline friends feel comfy and cozy in their new Music City home.

It’s going to take a while. These little ones are going to need a considerable amount of time to decompress and shake off the “stress” of this type of alleged neglect case. They’re going to need to learn how to trust people again. And that’s not going to be an easy process. ????

All of this is made possible thanks to generous support from our amazing NHA family. You have our backs so that we can have their backs. Because you support our Emergency Medical Fund, we can go on emergency transports like this and save lives. You are making this happen. You are saving these lives.

There’s a donate button on this post if you can pitch in. It doesn’t have to be a giant sum (although we won’t complain). Thank you for helping make all of this possible! ????
