February 3 is National Doggy Date Night, created to encourage spending quality time with the dogs we love! While many of us have a canine companion to celebrate this grand holiday with, some might need a date, and that’s where we come in!

We’ve created a Doggie Date and Rovernight program that allows the public to “check out” a shelter dog for a few hours and go out and about on the town or take them home for a sleepover. It’s a fun experience for you and very helpful to the shelter pets. They greatly benefit from these little breaks and get a taste of what the adopted life will be like.

Ready to sign up? It’s easy! Reserve an appointment in our handy Calendly app. There are two appointments for Doggie Dates at 11:15 AM per day. When you arrive for your date, stop by the front desk so our Pet Services Team can tell you which dogs are eligible for going out. We ask that you return by 3:00 PM.

There are two appointments for Rovernights at 4:15 PM per day. You’ll follow the same process as doggie dates, except we’ll be sending you with a few supplies. We ask that you return by 10 AM the next day (9 AM if the dog has medication).

When you return to the shelter, we’ll give you a quick questionnaire to fill out about your date. We’d love to know any information you think would help place them in the right home.

That’s all there is to it. Sign up now at the link below!
