Financial Support Program
Nashville Humane Association has resources to assist pet families who need assistance keeping their pets in their homes where they belong. Our pets are our families. Among those resources are grants, vouchers, and other financial support avenues intended to assist families who may need a little boost.
As part of our Community Resource Center, NHA is able to provide financial assistance to qualified pet families through private donations and grant funding to keep pets in their homes and out of shelters.
Program Eligibility
Below are reasons for potential participation in NHA’s Financial Support Program, but are not limited to:
- The owner otherwise cannot afford to pay the full cost for behavioral training and/or training assistance for their pet.
- The owner otherwise cannot afford to pay the full cost for a required pet deposit or pet rent.
Program Qualifications
- Applicants must be a Nashville / Davidson County resident – proof of residency may be required.
- Applicants must provide all requested documentation, including vaccination records, medical information, care information, and/or estimates for care or medication(s).
- Applicants may be asked to provide proof of income, proof of employment, proof of residency/deposit/lease, or some other form of verification documentation required for qualification.
The Fine Print
Applications are reviewed and financial assistance is awarded on a case-by-case basis. Approval for a grant or voucher is not guaranteed, and only completed applications will be considered for assistance. Please note: it may take up to 72 hours for an application to be approved.
