Dear Friends,

This year has had its own particular set of challenges. From learning to exist within the limitations of a global pandemic, to continuing to grow our community support programs, to special medical cases, to thousands of adoptions, to supporting natural disaster relief, there simply isn’t a “quiet” day when it comes to animal welfare.

But that’s how we prefer to operate. We have a little phrase we like to say to each other, “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop.” An animal in distress won’t just wait until it’s convenient. We want to do more, not less.

We’re here every day, rain or shine, because the animals and the people in our community need us. We’re here because we want to make every single person in our city, state, and all across the globe proud of the work that we do.

In 2021, Nashville Humane operated “in the black” for the third straight year. We adopted 3,400 animals into forever homes, and for the fourth straight year, we’re proud to say we have a 99% save rate! Thank you to each and every one of our supporters who helped us make this past year an unbelievable year for shelter pets.

So today I am asking, if you have the means to do so, please consider helping us now by making a tax-deductible donation to help our animals and to help us continue to do this vital work to protect and care for our vulnerable pets in our community that are abandoned, homeless, abused, and neglected. Thousands of these animals come through our doors every year and we strive at providing stellar care to our animals. Your donations make that possible, in every sense of the word. Without your help, our shelter could not and would not survive.

If you can’t make a donation, please know that we see you. You are our bright spot. There are so many ways you can support your local shelter from sharing posts on social to volunteering to fostering. The sky is the limit!

Thanks to all of you for supporting us in whatever ways that you do! We appreciate you, and our animals are lucky to have friends and supporters like you!
