Wills & Bequests

The easiest way to leave a lasting impact is through a bequest or a will commitment to be distributed by your estate after passing. A bequest may be a specific piece of property, sum of money, or a portion of your estate. Most people make a bequest when their Wills are drawn, and these bequests may result in significant tax savings.

Estate Planning

Nashville Humane has a number of different options for people who are interested in planned giving through their estate. If you wish, our team can discuss options with your estate or tax advisors to explore these options.

NHA as a Beneficiary

If you have a life insurance policy that is no longer needed to provide for dependents, you have the option to make Nashville Humane the beneficiary. Other options include making NHA the beneficiary or owner of a fully paid policy. Some assets, such as IRAs, Keogh Plans, and other qualified retirement plans, do not pass directly through your will and will require you to name a beneficiary. Nashville Humane can be an option in many of these situations.

Ultimately, there are many ways to express your love for shelter animals and leave a lasting impact that will help generations of at-risk pets.
