Darcy Lashinsky Memorial Food Bank

Named in loving memory and honor of our dear friend, Darcy Miller Lashinsky, our pet food bank is made possible by the generous donations of individuals and organizations who believe in our mission of supporting the pets and pet families in our community.

Our drive-through food bank is located at Nashville Humane (213 Oceola Avenue Nashville, TN 37209), from 12:00-2:00 PM every Wednesday.

Things to know:

  • Our food bank is drive-thru at NHA
  • We’ll help you load food if you require assistance
  • We provide food for up to 5 household pets weekly
  • We provide mostly dry food but have some wet food
  • We do not have treats or other enrichment

Due to limited resources, our Food Bank is only available to Davidson Co. residents 18 years of age or older with a maximum of five pets per household served per week. While we do our best to meet all needs, this program is funded exclusively by donations and therefore distribution amounts cannot be guaranteed.

About Darcy Miller Lashinsky

Darcy Lashinsky served Nashville Humane as a volunteer, a member of our Board, and an advocate for animals in our community and beyond. While her loss was immense, the impact of her life is immeasurable. Darcy was a loving wife, mother, and dear friend to all adoptable animals. Her contributions to animal welfare were countless and will remain as a lasting legacy beyond her lifetime. It’s because of her contributions to animal welfare and Nashville Humane, that she will be remembered in memoriam via the Darcy Lashinsky Memorial Pet Food Bank.
