Nashville Humane Association is excited to announce the availability of a 24/7 microchip scanning station to help reconnect lost pets with their families. This initiative aims to enhance the safety and well-being of pets in our community, ensuring that they can quickly return home when separated from their owners.

In Nashville, thousands of pets go missing each year, causing distress for both the animals and their families. Microchipping is a crucial step in ensuring pets can be identified and returned home.  NHA’s microchip scanner, located right outside of our facility (213 Oceola Avenue), is accessible at all hours, allowing the community to scan lost pets whenever they are found.

“The heart of our mission is to promote the humane treatment of animals and support pet owners in Nashville,” said Laura Baker, Executive Director of Nashville Humane Association. “By providing a 24/7 microchip scanning station, we hope to bridge the gap between lost pets and their families, making reunions quicker and easier.”

“Nashville Humane adding a 24/7 public microchip scanner to the opposite side of Nashville will make a great impact on reuniting lost pets with their families,” said Ashley Harrington, Director of Metro Animal Care and Control  “We are thankful they were able to add this resource for the community.”

We encourage pet owners to have their pets microchipped and to keep their contact information updated. If you still need to microchip your pet, we offer Low-Cost Clinics monthly, plus there are other resources that also provide these services. Visit this page for more information.

Nashville Humane is committed to being a resource for the community, and this new reunification station aligns with our dedication to animal welfare. Together, we can ensure that fewer pets are lost, and more are reunited with their loving families.
